Synopsis
This Amendment makes technical clarifications as follows: 1. The term “contractor” under both Chapter 35 and Chapter 36 of Title 19 applies not to all construction and maintenance work, but to construction and maintenance work under an express or implied contract to provide labor and other services. 2. To register, a contractor must provide either a Federal Employer Identification Number or a State Taxpayer Identification Number, whichever is applicable, instead of both numbers. 3. Rather than require contractors to provide information regarding every person with a financial interest in the business to register, contractors must disclose if a person holding a financial interest in the contractor's business has ever been cited by the Department for a violation of a labor law.
