Synopsis
This Amendment does the following: 1. Defines "medication assisted treatment". 2. Uses the term "medication assisted treatment" to identify medication approved for the treatment of drug and alcohol dependencies. 3. Requires that at least 1 formulation of each prescription medication for medication assisted treatment on each tier of a drug formulary be available without a step therapy requirement. 4. Adds an effective date for this Act.
