Synopsis
This amendment changes the definition of “Employer” from a business enterprise that employs 50 or more employees to 100 or more employees. This amendment makes changes to the triggers for notice in the definition of “Mass layoff.” This amendment allows for hand delivery of notices. This amendment makes clear that industries, such as construction and their related projects or portions of projects, are included in the exceptions to compliance with the notice requirements.
